Trex Decking is the leading brand in composite decking, offering a range of high-performance, low maintenance decking products manufactured from recycled materials. All products come with a 25 year guarantee and will never require additional staining or treating.
What is composite decking?
Composite Decking is an innovative alternative to timber decking, manufactured from a blend of wood fibres blended with plastic, giving a more durable and weatherproof product.
Trex Decking is manufactured from 95% recycled materials - predominantly reclaimed sawdust and recycled plastic bags.
A standard 16 foot Trex board contains approximately 2,250 recycled plastic bags

The boards are embossed with a natural woodgrain finish, and the colour application means that you will always have colour consistency across your decked area, even though the pattern of each board is unique.
Trex Decking is so durable that all boards come with a 25 year guarantee. Use the square edge boards for the outer edges of your decking, the grooved edge boards for the main decked area, and the fascia boards to create steps or side fascias.
What are the advantages of composite decking?
Although composite decking is considerably more expensive than timber decking, it has several advantages which justify the initial investment:
- durability: will not warp, splinter, stain or rot
- ease of maintenance: no need for repeated staining or wood treatments
- easy to clean: just use simple soap and water
- non-slip: algae, mould and mildew won't grow on composite decking so no slippery patches
- non-fade: colour fast and UV resistant
