Fence Capping & Counter Rails

Quality fence capping rails protect the top of wooden fences, while also giving it stability. Counter rails provide all the support a fence needs

Any British weather, especially rain, can affect the timber of a fence panel and cause it to rot so the protection of a fence capping rail is very important. It also adds a finishing touch to the fence, making it look complete. Most often used with feather edge fencing, it looks good on most fencing (excluding fence and post). Choose from pressure-treated green (natural) or brown timber. Counter rails are used at the rear of closeboard fencing to provide support for the capping and can be easily fitted using 65mm nails.
