AVS PETERBOROUGH - RAILWORLD WILDLIFE HAVEN

Our Peterborough branch has been involved in some great charity work with what has to be a truly unique project - Railworld Wildlife Haven. For over 30 years a dedicated group of volunteers has transformed a derelict piece of land next to Peterborough Nene Valley Railway Station into a beautifully landscaped wildlife haven, with the added attraction of model railways throughout.

Railworld Wildlife Haven has now become one of the top visitor attractions in the area, both entertaining and educating its visitors about the natural world, while providing a large and diverse habitat for local wildlife.

When the charity approached us in need of some fencing for a new project, the Steve Baker Walk (named after a longstanding volunteer), we were of course happy to help.

Dalton Marsh, Manager at AVS Peterborough says "Railworld Wildlife Haven is a great example of a local charity creating a fantastic resource for the local community - we were really happy to get involved with their work to promote education about our environment, and who doesn't love model trains!"
