Otters can squeeze through surprisingly small gaps, making a mesh of 100mm x 50mm an effective barrier. Tornado otter fencing has been proven to keep otters out. To prevent otters from digging underneath the fencing, at least 500mm should be buried into the ground or turned out at ground level. This can be achieved by combining the RL19/180/5 C14 with the RL6/50/5 C5 to create a two-piece otter fence. The two nets are connected securely using netting clips.
