Mesh fencing relates to chainlink mesh, weld mesh, wire netting, rabbit netting, stock fence or stock mesh, horse netting and deer fencing mesh. The fact that you can see through mesh fencing offers some advantages for security fencing, particularly for patrolled areas, as it does not offer a hiding place for an intruder. Most mesh fencing is erected on a series of strained wires which are fixed between straining posts.
Most mesh fencing is erected to a height suitable for the purpose for which the fence is being used for, because the mesh fencing offers little wind resistance it can be erected up to 20ft or 6m high when needed. Mesh fencing for containing rabbits can be created with our wire netting or rabbit netting and it is normal for the mesh fencing to be dug into the ground or to be laid folded on the ground to prevent the rabbits digging underneath.
Stock fencing mesh at low level is suitable for sheep, cattle and pigs, a tall mesh fencing with closely spaced uprights is available for horse fencing and the tallest version (approximately 2m high) is available for deer. Because stock fencing is a type of mesh fencing which is made from thicker mesh fencing wires they can be tensioned in their own right and don’t need to be fixed to line wires. Mesh fencing consisting of chain link, weldmesh and wire netting is fixed to straining wires. Most mesh fencing is provided in a galvanised finish for corrosion protection, some ranges of mesh fencing are available in PVC coated finishes with RAL 6005 green being the most popular PVC coated mesh fencing finish.
