The GTA 40 Cordless Pruner is STIHL’s first battery-powered pruner purpose-built for professional use, delivering precise, powerful performance for tree and shrub care, landscaping, and construction tasks. Supplied with 2x AS 2 batteries and an AL 5-2 high-speed charger, it is ideal for both ground-level work and aerial applications.*
Powered by a robust EC motor and fitted with a 15 cm Light guide bar and ¼″ PM3 saw chain, the GTA 40 delivers clean cuts with variable chain speed control for precise operation. Dual AS 2 batteries are discharged in parallel for balanced performance, and the tool will not operate unless both batteries are inserted. Automatic chain lubrication, side-mounted chain tensioning, and a tool-free oil tank make maintenance quick and easy.
Its ergonomic two-handed design includes a rubberised grip, dual-sided rocker for left- and right-handed use, and an integrated claw deflector for added safety. A hardcase with space for up to 6 batteries and the charger is included, along with an attachment ring for belt carrying. Certified to IPX4, the GTA 40 is splashproof and suitable for use in wet conditions.
