Reaching new heights new for charity!

Michael Hardy, our Peterborough branch manager, recently took part in a skydive in order to raise money for one of our charity partners – Rocking Horse.
“ I wanted to give something back, and to show that I care, so I chose to do a skydive as this was the scariest thing I could think of to do.”

Michael started fundraising in April and has found the best way to prepare for the big day was to not think about it at all!

Rocking Horse – Michaels’ chosen charity – Is a Brighton based charity which has been supporting sick children for 50 years. They are the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, where money is raised for life-saving and cutting edge medical equipment, ensuring that children are treated in an environment best fitting their needs. They also support the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (based at the Royal Sussex Country Hospital in Brighton) and its sister site, the Special Care Baby Unit (based at the princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath).

“The first ten seconds of falling were the worst, but after that… WOW! Amazing!”Explained Michael.

Michael hopes to take part in another fundraising venture in the future, but is currently trying to get over his skydive… Well done Michael!
