Customer Projects - Let's Get Involved!

It’s no secret that when it comes to garden fencing and landscaping projects, our customers know what they are talking about.

That’s why we have decided to showcase some of your latest work on our blog, sharing a little inspiration and some useful ideas with everyone.

Keep reading to see the projects we have featured this time…

Theresa's Sleeper Path Edging

Theresa from Berkshire wanted to replace the slabs in her garden. Theresa wanted a country cottage feel to her garden and has achieved this fantastically with machine round mini sleepers and plum slate.

The sleepers have been used as edging for a path, with one tonne of slate and one tonne of stones to finish off the project. Theresa found the sleepers easy to work with and the project took a total of one day to complete. The project was given the finishing touches in the shape of plant pots and a classic fruit box planter.

Nik's Decking Framework Project

Nik from Kent has used new softwood railway sleepers to make a framework to support his decking. Nik then used additional sleepers positioned around the edge of the deck as steps down into the lawn. Using sleepers as steps in your garden looks great and as Nik has demonstrated adds a touch of style to your decking.

Charlotte’s Railway Sleeper Garden Table

Charlotte in West Sussex took on the project of building a table and benches from new oak sleepers. Charlotte took on the project with her father and wanted something big and bold for all the family. This sleeper table and benches has a great rustic look, perfect for entertaining and dining alfresco. A simple design, but something that will last for generations.

Jon's Vegetable Bed Project

Jon from Buckinghamshire has used sleepers to make a small vegetable area in his garden. The four rectangular beds were constructed from 2.4M 100x200mm new softwood sleepers which were stained green to match the garden furniture and summer house. The internal face and the underside of the frames were lined with membrane.

The beds were surrounded on three sides by 450mm wide paths of dark stained wood chippings and a small area of York stone paving at one end.

Railway Sleeper Project Competition

Congratulations to Edward from East Sussex, winner of our Railway Sleeper Project Competition. This fantastic urban conversion has taken a bare concrete garden and transformed it into a wonderful urban garden.

Small urban gardens are often the most difficult areas to work with outdoors. But with some imagination, a green haven can be created.

Edward has made the most of this small space, with three raised beds and benches all built out of new softwood railway sleepers. The project took three days to build and Edward tells us that "Friends and family can not believe it's the same space"

That’s all for now! However, if you would like to have your project displayed on our website, please email your pictures to
