Lugarde uses high-quality spruce wood from cold northern climates, where slow tree growth results in tighter growth rings for greater stability and durability. The timber is kiln-dried to 14–16% moisture to minimize shrinkage.
All Lugarde buildings are assembled without nails or screws, in order to accommodate movement in the timber, while still providing outstanding wind and water resistance.

- Do you offer an assembly service?
We don't offer an assembly service but we can suggest suitable contractors in your area. The cost of installation will depend on the size and complexity of your building.
- Are the assembly instructions easy to understand for non-experts?
From the design of the building systems to the clear assembly instructions, everything at Lugarde is created with ease of assembly in mind. Each key step is thoroughly explained, and helpful assembly videos are available on their website.
Many customers have shared positive feedback about how straightforward the process is.
- Do I need planning permission?
Local planning laws vary, you should always consult your local council before beginning a building project - contact your local planning office here.
- Will I need extra materials?
We deliver your summerhouse, garage or veranda complete with all necessary materials such as screws, nails and EPDM glue. You do not have to buy anything yourself.
- How does delivery work?
Garden houses, log cabins and verandas are only delivered at the roadside. Please note that the road must be accessible for a wide lorry (40 tons). The carrier has a forklift truck which he will use.
- How long is the delivery time?
Lugarde products are custom-made, from design and technical drawing to production. The delivery time fluctuates and depends on the chosen system and season. Please ask us for the current delivery times.
- When do I pay for the order?
As each Lugarde product is custom-made for you, we require a 25% deposit before proceeding with the order.
After full payment your house will be released for delivery. The carrier will then contact you by phone to agree on a suitable delivery date.
- What foundations do I need for my building to be installed on?
Lugarde buildings can only be erected on a foundation that is 100% level and stable. You may need to employ a contractor to install a suitable base.
