Our gravel boards can be used with close board as well as timber panel fencing and are exceptional value for money. The primary use for a gravel board is to raise the panel or closeboard off the ground helping to protect the timber from damage prematurely caused by moisture ingress. If the fence was to come into contact with the ground for a prolonged period, moisture would penetrate the surface and cause the timber to rot and decay over time. Gravel boards are especially important if you have a flower bed in front of the fence or if your garden is in a particularly shaded or damp area, such as on the edge of woodland.
The gravel board is a lower cost product when compared to the rest of the fencing materials and is easily replaced.
We supply a comprehensive gravel board range in a variety of heights and lengths, from 1.83m to 3.6m long, offering a choice of both treated timber and concrete gravel boards that have been expertly made to do the very important job of keeping your fencing off the ground.
