Demand Planner/Buyer – Support Office, Horsham

Up to £27,000 basic salary

We are looking for a Brilliant Demand Planner to assist the Purchasing team source the right product, of the right quality, at the right price and have it distributed across our branch network at the right time, to ensure we always deliver on our customer promise.
The Purchasing Team has responsibility for product sourcing, price negotiation, ordering, and advising Branch Managers on their branch stock levels to match business requirements. The team work in partnership with our Operational Managers and Marketing team as part of a well-oiled machine.

The demand planner/buyer role will include:

• Placing supplier orders where required.
• Immediately respond to any back orders, working with the branches to ensure the customers required date is met.
• Progress any daily stock replenishment and back orders to ensure they meet the promised delivery date.
• Ensure the most cost effective delivery method is used to meet the promised delivery date.
• Alert the business to any potential supplier issues that may affect stock service levels.
• Forecasting, reviewing trends and producing reports to assist business decision making.
You will be able to manage your various customers’ requirements, both internally and externally.

You will be the analytical ‘go to’ person, and have a good commercial head on your shoulders. You face challenges head on with a can do/will do, positive approach.

Ideally you will have experience within a similar industry.
