Are you attending Glee 2014? Although this key event in the Garden and Leisure industry has already begun, there is still today and tomorrow 16th September to catch up! As one of the most crucial garden wholesale buying events in the garden retailer’s year, you may be wanting to find out what all the fuss is actually about.
What's going on?
The Glee event exhibits over 500 leading UK and international wholesale garden suppliers, as well as the most innovative products you can find on the market. Taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, there is also the opportunity to get advice on how to help your business grow even when trading conditions get tough.
GLEE 2014 is showcasing a number of different features across the exhibition space to help you find the best garden and leisure products and suppliers in the industry.
One event not to be missed at Glee is the ‘Green Heart’. For the chance to see lots of plants proudly presented by over 40 UK plant growers, all displayed in natural daylight within an impressively large greenhouse style Atrium space, head over to this exhibition.
The space is next to the new Glee Halls and will be packed with thousands of stunning plants and flowers, as well as a whole host of exhibitors to chat to.
Glee New Product Awards
Exhibitors in attendance have also submitted their most innovative products to the ‘Glee New Products Awards’ at the New Product Showcase, located in the ‘Hub’. Categories for the awards include Garden Leisure Products, Pet and Wildlife Products, and Machinery and Tools.
Check back at the Glee website to see a run-down of all the entries this year.
Glee provides the chance to learn from inspiring seminars, led by important industry speakers. Working with the Horticultural Trade Association, the seminar programme this year will focus on topics such as attracting younger generations of shoppers to garden centres, as well as predicting what centres will look like by 2020.
Love the Plot You’ve Got
As if this year’s Glee hasn’t got enough to offer visitors, there is a ‘Love the Plot You’ve Got’ themed feature stand on display too. The stand will use a range of plant, materials and furniture to demonstrate a typical British back garden transformation.
The idea behind the display is to inspire suppliers to take a different perspective on what consumers want from their gardens and figure out how best to target them appropriately.
If you are attending Glee 2014 or have visited in previous years, let us know. We would love to hear your thoughts on the event.
