Metpost Wedge Grip
Metpost is the best known brand for steel fencing spikes and bases. They grip the post without the need for nails and are ideal to erect wooden fencing.
The spikes can be used as an alternative to digging holes for your posts and concreting them into the ground.
The bolt downs are ideal to fix onto a concrete base, a brick wall or any other type of flat surface.
The repair spurs are used when a post has rotted or broken at the bottom and is secured in a concrete base.
You can use a driving tool to insert the spikes and bases into the ground.

Service rating : Incompetent is probably the best word to sum up my experience of AVS. After being a delivery date of a week after my order, which is not an issue, Daniel from Braintree Depot left it until the morning of delivery to tell us the posts were unavailable. He offered us 100mm posts instead at no extra charge, which we accepted.
However, on deliver we found out the 100mm Met Posts were out of stock. After a phone call we were told they would be sent the week after, which was not much use. We were then told they'd be dropped off Friday 4th Nov. The Met posts were delivered but were the wrong ones (no spike). We ended up having to return these & then going to a different supplier. I am extremely unlikely to use AVS again. The real disappointment was that Daniel didnt really seem too bothered over the whole issue. Im happy to discuss further if AVS decide to follow this up...... Product : Failed to deliver |
We are sorry we got it wrong this time, a new location in Braintree, Essex and inevitably a few teething problems. Daniel believes passionately about AVS Fencing delivering great customer service, he drove out to you specially to try and correct earlier mistakes.
