Timber Decking

Garden decking can be a very practical solution if you have a sloping garden or areas of your garden which are difficult to use as a raised deck can be used to level these areas, whereas a low level deck is an attractive alternative to a patio. If you do create a raised decking area then you will most likely wish to enclose the edge of the deck with balustrading and hand railing for practicality and appearance. Decking needs little maintenance but it is essential to keep your decking area swept and clean, particularly in the winter months when it may have less use. A garden decking cleaning compound can be used if the timber gets dirty which will return the timber to its original colour.  With a deck you are creating a firm, level platform sat on top of a framework of timber which is mostly covered up once the decking boards have been fixed to it. For this reason you don’t have to be a fantastic carpenter to create a strong framework to support the decking boards as any mistakes and inaccuracies in the framework supporting the garden decking are soon covered up by the deckboards.
