Stockfence is a woven wire mesh netting used for keeping livestock secure. It is used in both agricultural and domestic fencing situations. Stockfencing is usually fixed to round or half-round fencing stakes and supported at ends, corners and changes of direction on larger straining posts, which are often strutted at 45 degrees for additional strength. It comes in a range of sizes which have different heightd and different mesh configurations to suit different live stock types and budgets. The most common form of stockfencing is C8/80/15, this product is usually for general purpose fencing and because of the volume sold this is a competitively priced product. Other specialist forms of stockfencing are designed especially to suit sheep, pigs, cattle, deer and horses.
