
Wire netting is normally galvanised so is known as galvanised wire netting it is used for a range of horticultural and pest control applications. Wire netting is commonly used for fencing against rabbits which is covered in another section on rabbit netting and for poultry or chickens runs which is why wire netting is also known as chicken wire. Wire netting which has a hole size of 31mm is normally referred to as rabbit netting because this is the hole size which is chosen for creating rabbit proof fencing. Wire netting is normally erected against a background of strained line wires fixed to timber fencing posts. Wire netting comes in a range of roll size with 25m and 50m rolls being the most economical but for those small jobs AVS sell a range of 10m rolls of wire netting.
