Rabbit Fencing

Rabbit netting is traditional hexagonal wire netting, having a mesh size not greater than 31mm. Our BS rabbit netting is normally available in two heights, 1050mm or 1200mm. The top of the wire netting is normally secured to a strained line wire with netting fasteners.

We recommend the heavier weight of 1.2mm gauge wire 1200mm high for rabbit netting, as this is more durable for permanent installations where it is important that rabbits do not get through the mesh. The 1mm wire size is prone to mechanical damage from strimmers and also from badgers who can chew through the rabbit netting reasonably easily.

All rabbit netting from AVS Fencing is heavily galvanised after manufacture with excellent corrosion protection and meets the current British Standard BS EN 10223-2 1998
