Metposts the trade name for the most popular fencing post anchor or spike are commonly used for fixing fence posts into the ground. There are a number of types of metpost the most common is the metpost that has a metal spike that is driven into the ground to support a fence post. Other types of metposts are designed for bolting down onto a hard surface such as a concrete surface. Metposts which are used for bolting down onto hard surfaces usually have 4 fixing holes through which masonry bolts can be used to mix the metpost base to the concrete.
