For strip grazing and less important field divisions, the taller version is often used by horse owners. Round rod insulators should be purchased for use with this product (listed with offset brackets). Two or three insulators may be used with each post to create two or three lines of wire or tape.

A shorter version is very popular with cattle keepers, with this version pig tail insulators are used at the top of the posts and are included with this product. Pig tail insulators may be used for seven strand steel wire, polywire and electro-rope.
