Barrel Strainer
Barrel strainers are used by tying one end of the line wire to the hoop end of the barrel strainer and then clipping the hook to or tying the other piece of line wire to the hook and rotating the ‘barrel’ to tighten the strain on the wires.
Eye Bolt BZP
Eyebolts are installed by threading them through a hole in a concrete post or timber post with a nut and washer on either side. They can be used to strain wire by simply tightening the nut on one side whilst the nut on the other is loosened, to pull the eyebolt further through the hole. The second nut is then tightened to hold the angle cleat in place (see angle cleats).
Angle Cleat
Angle cleats are installed by threading them onto an eyebolt with one nut and washer between the loop and the angle cleat. When the eyebolt is secured the nut and washer can be used to hold the angle cleat in place, sandwiched against the post.
Stretcher Bar
Stretcher bars are installed by bolting them to angle cleats that are attached to the posts.
Suggested bolts are M8x30s.
Loop Adaptor
Loop adaptors literally screwed onto the threaded end of an eyebolt to create a second loop, on which to attach a second line wire.
Netting Fastener Traditional Type
Traditional netting fasteners are used by clipping around the netting/chainlink using a pair of netting pliers.
Netting fastener CL22 Type
CL22 clips are used with a CL22 clip gun, the clip magazine is loaded into the gun via the built in clip cartridge. The clip magazine then feeds through the cartridge making it quicker and easier to use than the traditional method.
Hair Pin Staple
Hair pin staples are used by putting the staple through a hole in a concrete post and splaying the ends out. A line wire can then be threaded through the loop left protruding from the concrete post.
Radisseur
Radisseurs are used by feeding the line wire or barbed wire into the central rotating column. The column is then twisted using a radisseur tool. Once the line wire is sufficiently strained it can be secured into place with a small bolt or nail through the rotating column and radisseur.
Barb Wire Extension
Barb wire extensions are installed by bolting the onto the top of the post and threading the barbed wire through the holes. For ends, corners and two ways radisseurs, ferrule winders can be used to hold the tension.
