Fitting Fence Capping Rail To Close Board Fences & Fence Panels

Fence Panel capping is simply nailed to the top of the framework of the panel. The suggested nail for doing this is a 40mm Nail.

Closeboard fence capping is installed by using a counter rail which is attached to the featheredge and fence posts. The fence capping is nailed onto the counter rail. A 65mm nail is suggested for this job.

The grooved fence capping is installed by slotting the groove onto the featheredge and then nailing (using a 40mm nail) through the face into the featheredge to secure it in place.
