AVS Fencing Supplies offer our customers a wide selection of gates in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

We offer garden gates, field gates and driveway gates, which means whatever your access issue, we are sure we can help.

Our gates our available in a range of styles and include both softwood and hardwood options.

Even better, if you can't see what you want on our website, in many instances we will still be able to help as we offer a bespoke service, which means we can make your gate in one of our on site workshops.

Talking of gates, football fever is in the air as it is World Cup time. It's going to take one mega-sturdy set of gates to last the distance at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa. This amazing structure holds a capacity of 66,005 people to be precise. The stadium was completed in 2009. You can read more about this and other World Cup interesting facts at: http://www.fifa.com/worldcup.

With summer nearly upon us, now is a great time to spruce up your garden and ensure it looks its best for your enjoyment over the next few months.

Perhaps you could add an attractive trellis to your garden fence line and then trail flowers through this, or perhaps you could add a garden deck, which would both be functional and an attractive addition.

Did you know that trellis dates back to the roman times?

You can see some of the oldest examples of trellis work  in the gardens  of Pompeii and Herculaneum. They used the trellis to support plants and vines for their wine-making, and to create a seclusion in the gardens with beautifully scented plants – it gave the romans the perfect place to relax and drink their hard-earned wine! Shame they hadn't quite discovered decking!

With the sun starting to shine now is a great time to update your garden and possibly erect a new garden fence.

Here at AVS Fencing Supplies we realise that many of our customers like to complete their garden and landscaping work themselves, but sometimes are not sure where to begin.

To offer a helping hand we have created product kits for some of our key items and this includes our lap panel fencing and closeboard fencing.

We know that there is nothing more frustrating than getting home ready to do a spot of DIY only to find that you haven't got  the correct parts you need to get going. Therefore, we have created new product kits which include the main items that you will need to erect your new fence. You can even add additional items to your potential order if you so wish.

Perhaps our new Government is missing a few parts right now, having got in at number 10 after a huge fight and then having to share his glory in a coalition! According to our good friend Wikipedia, the definition of coalition is an alliance among individuals or groups, during which they cooperate in joint action, joining forces together for a common cause.

We like to think of our customers working in coalition with AVS Fencing! We are joining forces with you so you can create a garden of your own design, with our support and guidance.

Look out for more product kits coming soon!
